The driver Ingrid Coronado confesses the pain she suffered when she found out about Fernando del Solar’s cancer and how she did everything to overcome it
In an interview with Isabel Lascurian, the driver Ingrid Coronado explained how her life has been since she was little, to how she had to do everything to be able to overcome Fernando del Solar, who recently died of a lung complication. Ingrid reveals that since she was dealing with a cancer patient it was very difficult for her. Divorce is not easy at all.
Ingrid Coronado, who was harshly criticized by the audience when it was said that she left Fernando del Solar just when he needed her the most, now reveals that it was a very difficult decision.
"It is very difficult because help and understanding always come to those who are sick, but it is very important to see who is next to them."
Ingrid mentions that she should pay more attention to the person she cares for than to the patient, since she knows perfectly well what it means to be carrying that responsibility.
"I know what it is to carry the daily structure, the house, the children, the work and what it is to carry the worry of not knowing what is going to happen to the other person, and many times you would like to feel what the someone else is feeling, but you don’t know that part.
"I lived it as if the patient were me, all the time I was seeing what life wanted to tell me, that you dare to see this other possibility and not believe that it is just a matter of bad luck, but why I am in this situation, why am I experiencing something so painful?
Íngrid mentioned that in recent years it is as if she had lived 100 years with Fernando del Solar, because of how difficult it was. "I’m not the same person anymore, it’s not that I didn’t like the other person, but I like this new person that I am more."
Practically, for Ingrid Rentería it was an experience with which she learned to discover herself, although it sounds positive, the context in which it occurred makes her new position look so positive in the face of this harsh situation that she says she lived next to Fernando del Sun sick with cancer.
Ingrid makes a reflection, and says that when she was in that difficult moment with Fernando, she understood that she was first, before everything, and that this is not selfish, since for everything to be fine, she must first be fine.
