A photograph of the former footballer circulates in social networks in the Specialized Group of the National Police where he is detained
A photograph of Ronaldinho Gaúcho shared by a journalist has turned around on social networks, since the Brazilian athlete is allegedly being held in Paraguay, after being detained on March 6 along with his brother Roberto for entering the country with fake passports.
In this image you can see Ronaldhino in jail as you have never seen him before. This was shared by the Paraguayan Hernán Rodríguez Sotelo on his Twitter account and the soccer player can be seen smiling and wearing a shirt, shorts and flip-flops at the facilities of the Specialized Group of the National Police, a detention center in Asunción.
According to what was published by the Brazilian portal Globo Esporte, ‘Dinho’ and Roberto are alone in a room separate from the other inmates and receive food and supplies provided by their team of lawyers.
It was last Friday, when a magistrate decreed preventive detention for the former FC Barcelona star and her brother after a police raid two days earlier in the hotel room in the Paraguayan capital where they were staying.
During the review, the agents found ‘several documents’, among which were Paraguayan identity cards and passports in the name of the former athlete and his family member.
According to information from various local media, Judge Clara Ruíz Díaz, ruled said sanction for presenting a flight danger during the investigation process, so Ronaldinho and his brother will be in the building of the Specialized Group of the National Police of Paraguay. This headquarters welcomes criminals with drug trafficking causes and where the brothers spent their first night as defendants on Friday.

It should be noted that the football legend and his brother testified before the Paraguayan Attorney’s Office on Thursday morning and pointed out that the one who provided them with the documents was the businessman Wilmondes Sous Lira, who is also in custody. Ronaldinho could spend several months in prison or pay a fine, the amount of which is established by the Paraguayan Penal Code.
